God is able, but if we never go, we'll never know. 3316

Live it..
We bought our used car in 2004 with the original battery in it. So, by my advanced mathematical ability, I compute it to have been in service for at least six years without failing. That is until this past Wednesday night. Thank God, someone was leaving church with jumper cables and we could use their car to start ours and then drive it home. We're somewhat like that battery when you stop and think about it. We just keep working like we'll never stop until one day we find out we've failed to hold the charge from our power source.

I've been going through a lot of self-examination lately and giving myself spiritual check-ups more often than normal. It's because I'm tempted to believe what a man says can negate what God has said. It's easy to replace our battery with a fresh one, but if we are unwilling to process what God is telling us, we're doomed to fail sooner than later. May I offer you the encouragement from God's Word that He's given me. It's found in Job 23:10 and simply says, "But he (God) knows the way I take and when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold." You might find it interesting that gold is not very hard, registering only 2.5 on a scale of 10 for a diamond. But there are only two things in the world denser than gold. These facts prove that stress, while it may not seem like it at the time, serves a godly purpose.

Pray it
I believe You, God; help my unbelief.
