One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will this happen? What will be the sign that you are coming again, and when will the world come to an end?”
Mt 24:3

Baby Jesus

Live it.
Have you ever considered how your life affects millions of people? Consider if you were never born. Your children would not never been born, nor their children or their children and so on. In fact, our generation goes back to the very beginning, even though it can't be traced beyond a few. We are therefore, the sum total of our parents, many times inheriting their very appearance, behavior and even their sinful tendencies. Yes, our children will carry part of us into the future. With this in mind, do you feel responsible for being the best positive influence possible, or do you live to satisfy your own physical desires without regard for anyone else?

Christmas is the season we celebrate Jesus' birth. Born in a manger and wrapped in swaddling clothes, few question the historical fact of his arrival in Bethlehem. But the majority of people living today, question who He was and how His coming affected them. He came to bring Light, but they are still living in darkness and don't care. While not our paternal parent, that baby influenced everyone and everything that was, is and will be. If like His disciples, you want to know when He will return to earth, think of it this way: You are the only Jesus that some people will see before they die. Maybe we ought to concentrate more on our witness and not on things over which we have no control.

Pray it
Thank you, God, for coming and going, coming again and going again, but this time taking me, never to go again.
