Everything good comes with a challenge. 3583
Don't let a challenge keep you from your dreams.
Graduation 2011; who would have thought it would come so soon. For those with "babies" who will soon walk down the aisle, I know how they feel. One day their meals are free on Tuesday nights, the next day they're spending fifty bucks to take their girlfriend to dinner. One moment you lift them into a highchair and the next they're taller than you. Where does the time go?
It's time for a commencement speech and I doubt one has been written that doesn't include the words, "challenge" and "success." Before long your little boy or little girl will join the ranks of the self-sufficient (or at least they should) and as a parent, you want to continue treating them like a child. It seems to me that graduation is not just for those wearing a robe and gown, but for those of us who sit and observe. The challenge is to let go, knowing success comes as they take and pass tests in the university of "Hard Knocks."
Success is seeing my children learn what You've taught me, Lord, and watching them teach it to my grandchildren and their children.
