God didn't say "Go," before He said, "Come!" 3661
The gospel in three words is loving the unlovely.
Live it. 2x2 is the name of a new disciple ministry. If I can find one person to believe with me, it will begin here in my own church in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. I have nothing at risk if the program fails, because it belongs to God and it's based on the application of
rock-solid Scriptural principles. I see it leading people across denominational lines to perform the calling of Matthew 28:19-20: teaching new disciples to disciple newer disciples. Applicants need not apply; you don't even have to be from this church, city or nation. Just let me know you're in, we'll talk and then begin serving - together.
I don't know if it was a Bible study or a sermon that challenged me. I might have read about Caleb's "mountain" about the time I planned to coast in my "senior years" spiritual life. Come to think of it, it might have been hearing people I respected, smirk at the idea and imply it wouldn't work. You know, I may not be the smartest kid on the block, but I choose to believe God over anyone else. I remember Him asking Abraham, "Is anything too hard for me?" Sarah laughed too - before God delivered and she did too!
