Are you for real or just cheap chills, frills and thrills? 3860
Tell me about Tuesday.
Sunday might be viewed as a type of drama. That's because we try to act like we think God's people should act - to the best of our ability. It's easier for some than others because they preach, teach and lead. We expect them to be examples for the rest of us, but we're all the same. No one is more religious, friendly, caring and, for lack of a better word, more holy than on Sunday. We even dress differently, talk differently and discuss things we seldom do outside the walls of the church.
On Monday we're still warm from our experience on Sunday, but on Tuesday, the curtain is lowered until it's time for the next act. We can relax and be ourselves because no one is watching (so we think) and expecting us to be someone we're not. Peter Lord once said, "What we do is what we are; everything else is just religious talk." God has always been looking for someone less religious and more transparent on the Lord's Day, which happens to be every day. How will you worship today?
I worship You today, LORD, in the sanctuary of Your holy presence.
