One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

wonders

See it.
The right word

Live it.
Christian, believer, follower, saint, redeemed; what shall we call someone who aligns themselves with Jesus Christ? Christian was a negative term given by people in Antioch to describe a few people who tried to act like Jesus. Believer assumes someone doesn't doubt but does, a follower can change with the shifting wind, saint gives the impression someone is better than someone else and redeemed speaks of a very small segment of the group.  Therefore, for today's devotional, we will use the term, "you people" as Jesus did.

"You people are something else, you know?" I can almost hear Jesus say it to the dumbfounded look on the face of those who listened. They didn't get it and I fear that neither do we. Discipleship has become a hot word with more variations than people saying it. Belief has become silent trust without any demonstration. Witnessing, ignored by most, is a quick way for others to deliver information and close a deal, rather than slowly teaching someone how to live for Christ. It seems we people are still chasing the latest fad and drawn to whatever shiny and new thing that gets our attention.

Pray it
It's my joy, Jesus, to be in the special group who believes but has not seen.
