Every morning I spend time in God's Word asking Him to show me things from His point of view. When He does, I realize it's what He's been doing every day of my life. Please be patient as what I compose today is not meant to impress you, but acknowledge Him. WebServant.
Pass it on
Excuse me, but today's devotional is for me. I need to remember this past Tuesday when I led our home church in taking communion. I heard every reason in the world for not doing it and the loudest voice may have been my own. So I considered it too lofty a goal. Then, out of the blue, my closest friend in the world, who also happens to be my wife, told me I should consider doing it. So we did and God blessed it in ways I can't disclose.
Now, two days later, I look back and realize that most of the time, when it comes to faith and acting on God's revealed Word, we are our own worst enemy. It's easy to know what God wants, but not so much to see us doing it. We have the ability to walk on water today by God's grace, but too often we walk in the rain on our own instead.
Help me, by Your grace, God, to be what You want and not what I can be on my own.
