One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but He loves him who follows righteousness.

Every morning I spend time in God's Word asking Him to show me things from His point of view. When He does, I realize it's what He's been doing every day of my life.  Please be patient as what I compose today is not meant to impress you, but acknowledge Him. WebServant.

See it.

Live it.
Today is the third round in the Master Golf Tournament.  That doesn't mean a lot to someone who doesn't play the game, but it's important to professional golfers as it's the first major in a new season.  It also is a one of a kind in course design who invites the top players to participate. Lush grass, water and sand outlined with colorful foliage in spring temperatures make it like heaven on earth for lovers of the sport.

This weekend is special time for me as I have been following a young golfer from his first pro appearance almost two years ago. I always root for underdogs and found it especially frustrating to watch hours of golf play to see one or two minutes of Jordan Speith play.  The announcers were interested in old timers and those expected to win tournaments. They slightly noticed Jordan's systematic and meteoric rise to exceptionalism, but no more.

The television announcers are amazed today that this young man is doing so well.  They call his course strategy nearly perfect and his play, while not as long as others, consistent and strategic. Of course I relate this to a maturing Christian who finds the Bible the only thing required to inspire, motivate and run the race. Doing that in life reminds me of a saying that's been around golf for awhile, "Drive for show, putt for dough."

Pray it
May every step I take, LORD, be one that overlays Your plan for my life.
