One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum.

Every morning I spend time in God's Word asking Him to show me things from His point of view. When He does, I realize it's what He's been doing every day of my life.  Please be patient as what I compose today is not meant to impress you, but acknowledge Him. WebServant.

See it.
Nighty, night.

Live it.
I was up earlier than I wanted this past Sunday in order to serve in two services. Then a funny thing happened on my way to sleep that night. Most pastors will agree that turning out the lights and going to bed may not guarantee a full night's rest. I stayed up later than expected to help do something that only I could do.  When you agree to serve others, a pastor must get his rest when he can. And sometime in less time than most.

There comes a time in the day when work is done and most people must find rest if they expect to function the next. The minister is like that except his work seemingly never ends. He must decide to stop ministering, or he'll never rest. Such must have been the case with the disciples of Jesus and should be true of us, don't you think?

Pray it
I find my real rest in in You, LORD, and not in sleep.
