One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.

Every morning I spend time in God's Word asking Him to show me things from His point of view. When He does, I realize it's what He's been doing every day of my life.  Please be patient as what I compose today is not meant to impress you, but acknowledge Him. WebServant.

See it.
Favor savor

Live it.
Approaching another election, we will see a travesty of justice once again. People who receive governmental assistance from the government or are a government employee, will be allowed to put their boss and benefactor back in office. They are not seeking the best man (or woman) for the job, but returning favor shown them regardless of the detriment to others.  The last obstacle to tyranny may be term-limits which gives hope for rational voter relevance. One can only wonder when that will be struck down by executive decree out of control.

Reputation only serves someone until the favored ask "What have you done for me lately?" So legislation continues to favor the favored, or the elected officials may be voted out and replaced with someone promising voters more for doing less.  Welcome to American politics, the thing that makes you celebrate one day and sick the next asking, "how did this happen?"

Pray it
Dependency on You, LORD, liberates me from the slavery of independence.
