Today's Scripture: "And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness." Acts 4:31

Churchianity - Proverbs 25:2

Live it.

It's the Lord's Day, go to church. If you don't have a church home, look around and you can select one from most any denomination. When you do, you will find that church believes it's doing the right thing, the right way, implying the others aren't. None of them will be full to capacity, most meet in a newly constructed building with ample parking spaces to offer more benefit for families. While all use music, they're all different making them the same. All claim theirs to be proper worship. All claim to pray and all promote Bible study and meetings that generate some degree of emotional response. Welcome to denominationalism, man's concoction, not God's.

A men's prayer meeting was started at a restaurant on Friday morning and I expected it to be like the one I attend on Thursday morning. The first Friday, someone blessed the food, the second meeting included no prayer at all so I made the decision to stay home and pray. It's been hard for me to understand why a charismatic flavor of worship generates so little desire to pray and less desire to make disciples. But that's the best men can do, I suppose.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, that You reveal what I need to see You better.
