Today's Scripture: "Whether it has gored a son or gored a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to him." Ex 21:31

5221. Emulation is a short-cut greatness doesn't take. JG

Impartial influence

Live it.

Most people don't think their life affects anyone else, but it does. There is really no way to immediately know the extent of someone's influence. Wait awhile, however, and the effect becomes obvious to the discerning. Take the young golfer Jordan Speith for example. By twelve years of age he aspired to play professional golf, something he accomplished at the age of nineteen. With sponsor’s exemptions the phenom won his first tournament and has now ascended to the top of the pack. His odd putting style and looking at the hole rather than the ball when putting was curious. His demeanor and contagious smile earned him a sponsorship from Under Armor, a new comer in sports clothing that is ascending to the top. When interviewed, he never speaks of success in first person but humbly credits his "team."

We could talk about how the youngster won more money on tour last year than anyone has in the past. What’s more interesting is how many other players are now copying Jordan's style in order to hopefully have some of his success.

Pray it.

The only success I desire is knowing You, LORD, and being Your best servant.
