Today's Scripture: "Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins." Acts 5:31
5388. Who in a relationship does not relate? JG-
Recently charged with teaching a young man to create shop drawings, I found his attitude and refusal to follow simple instruction unacceptable. Funny thing is, I like him, but he has brought out the worst in everyone who has tried to work with him and I'm his last hope. I tried to befriend him and even gave him a friendly tap on his shoulder last week but he curtly asked me no to touch him—two times. I thought he was joking but then considered writing a report of the "incident" so as to defend myself in court when he sues me for harassment. Such is the state of our country and the skewed values of people.
There are as many ways to describe salvation as there are people. Most Christians never get beyond believing something in their heart and professing it with their mouth. But even demons do that, so that alone does mean much. The thing that sets those who are truly saved from those who are not, is having an active and trusting relationship with Jesus that grows as we spend time together. More than once, Scripture tells us that Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father. So, the question we should ask ourselves is where we are in our relationship with Him, or do we even have one.
Thank You, Jesus, for not basing Your love for me on my performance.
