Today's Scripture: "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." Jn 8:36

5532. Value is seldom related to price. JG

See it.

Live it.

It can be rewarding to visit the discount aisle in the store when shopping. I know because my wife is the queen of discounts. Before finding the items on her shopping list, she will locate and peruse the area where discontinued/discounted items are kept. She loves to then pile her low cost trophies on the dining room table with the discount label in plain view for all to see. I've learned to never ask if we have need of those things because she will inevitably come back with "we might," or "with a price like that I couldn't pass it up."

One can't help but wonder how the world views most Christians. In most cases, we are broken vessels put back together by the Master's loving hand and repackaged as a clean individual. The world views themselves as better because they don't admit to being broken, so they see no need for a godly retrofit. They probably view themselves as packaged and new and us as refurbed, unwrapped and discounted. The truth is that the value of every person is based on the extent of God's work in their lives. So, the question is: are you valuable or just expensive.

Pray it.

Thank You, Lord, that you found something in me worth Your investment.
