Today's Scripture: "Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy..." Ps 33:18

See it.

Live it.

It's interesting to note what this verse implies but doesn't say. Did you know that most theological arguments take place on the dark side of the issue. What was said doesn't seem to matter and by the time all the variable points of the unsaid are contrived, separation occurs between brothers and heresy is born. It's ironic how people who Christ said would demonstrate His love toward each other can hate and spew venom toward each other regarding something that was not said.

Scripture is true regardless how we look at it. The argument comes when worldly sensibility takes over and we attempt to humanize God. Take this verse for example. It's easy for me to believe that God only cares for those who fear Him and depend on His mercy. It's also understandable that can change when the heart of a man changes. What's hard to understand is a theologian who reads something else into that and preaches what they believe is true and not what God's word plainly says. Welcome to Sunday morning in far too many churches.

Pray it.

I place my trust and hope in You alone, Jesus.
