Today's Scripture: "'You do the deeds of your father.' Then they said to Him, 'We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.'” Jn 8:41

Live it.

All of us was born the same way, save Jesus Christ. We were conceived by the union of our father and mother to grow in her womb and then be delivered out of it. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit to grow and be delivered out of his mother's womb. Simply stated, His biological father is God, ours is a man. Some people find that hard to accept, everyone finds it hard to believe.

Every week I get to explain salvation to a different group of men who need to be saved. Last night, after my talk, two men walked up to me before leaving the room. One thanked me and shook my hand, the other embraced me (in a manly way). I sensed both were brothers in Christ and appreciated my words. While I recognize and identify with those who make up the church, everyone else represents the very ones we, the church, are commanded to reach and teach. The lesson for this teacher was, therefore, to be direct and truthful—regardless of the audience's receptivity.

Pray it.

Thank You, Lord, for Scripture that proves what we find hard to believe.
