Today's Scripture: "But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me." Jn 8:45

5565. Truth never leans on opinion nor seeks it. JG

See it.

Live it.

Hearing the truth should be a delightful thing, but to some it can be miserable. That's because false perception holds most people prisoner. More times than not, they become defensive upon hearing truth, often becoming insulting and aggressive toward the person who tells it. It's safe to say that more people walk around waiting to be offended than those who love to hear the truth. It's also true that more offense takes place in church than any other place.

It's sad to look at struggling or static churches and realize that God has a plan for their revival. It begins with prayer, necessitates reconciliation and demonstrates itself when offended people are either saved or leave the congregation. Revival is rare because people can't remember the last time they prayed when it wasn't over dinner. It's even more amazing that people believe they're saved but have no desire to spend time with Jesus. All this makes me wonder how someone can say they love the truth when they'd rather not hear it.

Pray it.

Your word, God, provides a landing place when this world turns me upside down.
