Today's Scripture: "And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around." Ex 25:11
5566. You can't take my joy, but I'll be glad to share it with you. JG
It was years ago when crowns were put on my front teeth. Not only did the constant pain stop, but I had a new smile which gave me confidence. Then over the years, time took its toll on two of those crowns as one cracked in half and the other broke off. With no money or insurance, I had to choose between my teeth and keeping the lights on so I chose the later and went for years without really smiling. Praise God, this Friday I expect to have a four crown temporary bridge replaced with a permanent one. It's funny how stopping my smile became a natural reflex. Now that tendency must be relearned as I laugh and smile without restraint.
It's significant that when God ordered the ark of the covenant to be completely encapsulated in gold, what it covered, what would be in it, what would be on top of it, and how it would be used was more significant than the adornment. On a personal note, I knew my bad teeth could be a distraction, but I also knew God would remove anything that hindered me when I agreed to go where He leads (Heb 12:1-2).
I'm not sure which is more exciting, God, knowing You love me or knowing You can use me.
