Today's Scripture: "And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you." Ex 25:16

When I wrote Game Over, I felt the need to include references to state the foundation of my conclusion. I was pleased that it was after I wrote the book, that I substantiated my statements with the word. That was not done to prove anything, but greatly encouraged me regarding the book content. Recently I have started speaking that way and immediately found that it required me to dig into God's word to check my testimony (I Pet 4:11).
In the Old Testament, people saw the golden box with cherubim's wings covering it and knew the presence of God was in the house. Very few regarded the word of God that was in the box because they were focused on what was apparent. The same thing is true today. Sola Scriptura was the heartbeat of the Reformers because God's people took their eyes off the word and focused on religion. Some listened, but most failed to pay attention and lost their way. Some things never change.
Your word is the foundation of my faith, God, and Your Son the fruition.
