Today's Scripture: "Jesus answered, 'If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God.'" Jn 8:54

See it.

My Source of course.

Live it.

This morning, America woke up to mostly young people protesting the outcome of the U.S. national election. They are the product of a complaining, whiny, pouting, threatening attitude that defines a loser. The winners of this election are the, here before unseen, simple people who have been ignored by an urban-minded political party of self-serving elitists. These citizens include both conservative and evangelical voters. No one expected it but an unlikely candidate tapped into the power of the little guy and made history. Leading an army of a quiet and determined people, he was elected President and defeated the over-confident favorite who thought her opposition represented a basket of "deplorables."

A little tired from staying up to 2am on election night, I am still pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming. While there appears to be national pivot in governing the country, only time will tell if it's real and a good turn. After all, it will not be the first time that someone takes a job with great intentions and is unable to stay focused on his promises. If there is anything that gives me confidence this morning, it's the fact this new administration is diametrically opposite to those who have fun mocking God. Who knows, if this trend continues I might be able to sing "God Bless America" and not feel like a hypocrite.

Pray it.

I will trust in You, God, and not in the promise of any man.
