Today's Scripture: "And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a molding of gold all around." Ex 25:23

5613. Presentation should not detract from presence. JG

See it.

Live it.

There will be many gifts this Christmas season presented in elaborate wrapping to adorn a tree, but just as many will not be wrapped at all. When God described the adornment of tabernacle articles, the most expensive wrapping was specified, that of the purist gold.

The parallel that is obvious to me is the fact that God is not keen on religiosity, but views holiness in the worshiper as the purest thing of value. Are you prepared to present your gifts to the King today? While doing things in service to the King, we should not pretend to be something we are not and risk exposure at the Judgment.

Pray it.

Remind me, God, to pay more attention to the things You consider valuable.
