See it.

Revere relish

Live it.

Reverence is a privilege people demonstrate in different ways. For example, watching a simple professional football game these days sees both patriotism and disdain for America during the playing of the national anthem. The backlash among patriotic Americans has been obvious against certain professional athletes. But the intensity of opposing players is quickly obvious on the field of competition with every take down of anti-American flag players. I expect to soon see the American flag planted in the center of the San Francisco football field by a victorious opposing team like it is Iwo Jima.

Last night I was privileged to be a part of the choir in a Christmas praise service. It was a combined effort by a great leader, choir, orchestra, soloists and character actors to mention a few. I couldn't help but summarize my night of praise in two men who, on the last song, carried beautiful banners to the front of the sanctuary. Everyone applauded their appreciation afterwards, but the reason we did it was to honor God and praise His Son, Jesus Christ. That is reverence. No one was bigger than the One we honor.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for the privilege of offering praise to You.
