Today's Scripture: "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Ps 34:8

See it.

Toothpick delicacy

Live it.

Every now and then my wife and I draw a blank as it relates to where we're going to eat. We like some foods better than others but want something different from what we just ate. But when we can't decide where to go, we discuss it and sometimes visit the food court at the mall. There we not only find cuisines different from our norm, but we get samples of some foods we might not try otherwise. As a bonus, we then sit to eat and observe a cross-section of most curious people known for trendy activity. How's that for a politically correct way for "weird?"

It's curious to me how there is so much conversation in church about the Bible and so little personal devotion to it. That's not to say no one has a love for it, but you have to wonder how many times during the week they pick it up. In addition, hearing, reading, studying, memorizing, meditating and applying Scripture is addictive for those in whom the Holy Spirit indwells. It is anything but an occasional uplifting experience that leads to an emotional high. In any case, the evidence outweighs any claim to the contrary.

Pray it.

My assurance of salvation comes with a basic desire to spend time with You, Jesus.
