Today's Scripture: "Three bowls shall be made like almond blossoms on one branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms on the other branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower—and so for the six branches that come out of the lamp stand." Ex 25:33

See it.

Live it.

Yesterday (Sunday) was the Lord's Day stuck in the middle of a holiday season. Because today (Monday) is a continuation of that federal holiday, most people won't work but eat, rest, and watch parades and ball games. Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be like Monday because it will be the first day of a shortened work week. For that reason, regular activities like school and church meetings have been mostly canceled until this week when they return to normal. My days are so confused, I am not certain what day it is.

To some, the menorah is just a fancy candlestick, but it's much more to a devout Jewish person. God's instruction for making the first one was detailed and elaborate. To me, this speaks of the fact God is not as concerned about religion and appearance as He is in a person's character and conviction. It's good to know that in a world of change, some things never will.

Pray it.

Help me do what You want, God, before what I or someone else wants to do.
