Today's Scripture: "But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first." Acts 7:12

5654. Having enough depends on Whom you depend. JG

See it.

What will it take?

Live it.

What it will take for someone to be diverted from disaster when they can't see the danger? How much "bad" news have I received that was in fact God's work to preserve me and point me in the right direction? And how many times did I ignore the obvious in order to work things out on my own? I'm embarrassed to say that happened in my life on a regular basis.

I've spoken to several people this week who have experienced or are about to face extreme disappointment. What seemed to be God's blessing has now seemingly become an unbearable loss. I can speak to this because the same is happening in my own life. I couldn't fully explain to those I counseled what I was feeling. Too many times we believers equate God's loving grace as being only when "good" things happen. Too often we fail to understand that our enemy delivers many of the things we want and God what we need. When we equate God with only apparent good things, we can be compared to those Jesus said didn't understand Scripture of the power of God.

Pray it.

You, O Lord, satisfy my every need.
