Today's Scripture: "And the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph’s family became known to the Pharaoh." Acts 7:13

Privacy is a diminishing "right" and hard, if not impossible, to obtain. With the Internet and most records already digitized, data mining makes it possible to know most everything about a person. It's done by a computer procedure that automatically scans these records on a regular basis and extracts information specific to individuals. It then publishes what it finds for anyone to see. It's said that a person can elect to not have that information published, but first they must be aware of it and secondly must take action. But that won't settle the issue because if one person can do it, others can as well. And not everyone cares about your privacy and there are few things in your life that will remain a secret.
Tomorrow night I have the privilege to teaching men about sin, confession, repentance, forgiveness, restitution and restoration. As recovering addicts, they understand failure and most have lost things that may never come back. But the faith we all have in God promises forgiveness and restoration. In the end, the best way to deal with failure is to admit it and then use it to glorify God. Too bad most people never hear that sermon so they can learn to live it.
Thank You, God, that I don't have to worry about privacy issues with You.
