Today's Scripture: The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? Pr. 18:14

5702. Encouragement is like water to a seedling. JG

See it.

Not so fast

Live it.

Losing a job can be depressing and being blamed for something that wasn't your fault gives rise to feelings of defeat. It was right to notify customers of the separation and delete company email accounts. But after weeks of silence, the feelings of worthlessness have taken root. Before long, self-esteem was destroyed along with a desire to get back in the "game." Then, out of the blue, the phone rings.

It's amazing how something bad can seemingly darken everything and one unsolicited phone call can erase it. With a job about to close, the offer was made to place it with the man who sold it. The offer was declined but the prospect of a future working relationship is likely. Before the day was over another offer from another company was made and by the end of the day self-esteem was renewed. The only action taken was to prepare a website for possibilities.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for finding worth in what the world does not.
