Today's Scripture: "This man dealt treacherously with our people, and oppressed our forefathers, making them expose their babies, so that they might not live." Acts 7:19

5703. Gratefulness may be the product of disappointment. JG

See it.

Live it.

In the land of the free and the home of the brave, one would think there'd be no slavery, but they'd be wrong. There are more people living off some sort of food stamps and government assistance than not. Add the fact that those in slavery keep the political party in power that made them slaves and there is seemingly no emancipation in sight. Why can't they open their eyes and remember?

It's amazing that I can forget some things and find other things impossible to forget. It seems like yesterday when I was running a company and putting up doors without a dollar in my pocket. I remember wanting to stop and eat but I kept going to take my mind off food. To me that was an inconvenience and not worthy of comparing with someone actually dying from starvation. I can't imagine my children dying from lack of food and me unable to do anything about it.

Pray it.

Thank You, Lord, for freedom that makes me Your willing bond servant.
