Fill in the blank
If given the choice of talking or being silent, I'd choose the later. After all, that is the threshold of prayer and usually leads me to doing it with my hands. But it's curious how enjoying the quietness, someone else feels the need to engage you in conversation. The subject of those conversations, started by someone else, inevitably involves sign language. More times than not, people ask how I learned it and why I do it. My answers are not what they expect and rarely does it lead them to respond but leaves more questions they don't ask. If you haven't noticed, prayer may be the number one conversation stopper in church.
It means everything, God, that we can talk without talking.
