Today's Scripture: "A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled." Pr. 18:20

5744. It's remarkable how resolve can so quickly dissolve. JG

See it.

Eat em up

Live it.

"I'll never" and "I won't" are phrases most of us live to regret. In most cases, as soon as the words come out of our mouth they make a U-turn to make us eat humble pie. While it's true that some people are willing to suffer consequences for their resolve, most don't have hardened conviction. They express a preference subject to change when the wind changes direction.

I knew a girl who dated a boy in Bible college who was deemed a good person by her parents. Then he began to question sound doctrine before doubting the integrity of the Bible itself. Her parents didn't notice the change, but she stopped dating him anyway. It was not because of his sinking faith, but because she chose to ignore her mother's warnings. She began to date someone on the wild side who eventually became her husband. They started a family that’s proven to be in perpetual crisis and she lived to regret the fact she had no conviction and wouldn't trust her mother's.

Pray it.

I choose to have conviction subservient to Your word, God.
