Today's Scripture: "Then he said, 'Lord, I believe!' And he worshiped Him." Jn 9:38

You talking to me?
The healing of the blind man in John 9 tells us a lot about salvation. It was Jesus himself who healed the man from blindness, but He did not reveal Himself to the man at first. Was he saved? Look at Matthew 7:21-23 and you'll learn that healing, preaching or casting our demons did not save a man, because salvation belongs to the Lord.
Our generation makes a big deal out of profession and belief, but neither impresses God. It is only Jesus's presence that saves. Today, it's the Holy Spirit living in us, or not, who makes it easy to know for sure (Gal 5:22-26). Everything religious is a false positive. But you know that, right?
God, I gladly surrender my claim for that which was never mine.
