Today's Scripture: "Let them be like chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the Lord chase them." Ps 35:5

Let it blow
We've been blessed to have good auto heating/air-conditioning for two years, but yesterday the a/c blew hot-air, something our heater stopped doing when the engine head, and/or gasket cracked. In the waning days of our distressed vehicle, it's expected that the electrical system acts up. With hot weather coming, the urgency to acquire a dependable vehicle took one giant step forward.
Being engrossed in writing a book about elder care, people who know me ask how it's going and I refer to everything in the terms of the book. The cessation of major automobile function defined a crisis point when we accepted the fact our truck was dying and soon be gone. Like the changing wind, we never know what will break next. So we've moved from palliative to hospice care for our truck. The first term defines care given someone in the form of treatment. The second term, hospice, is what it's called when you make someone comfortable but stop treating them and expecting improvement. Of course, the difference is the fact you can restore a vehicle with enough money, but death for a human has no human remedy regardless how much money you throw at it.
Give me wisdom, God, to know what deserves attention and to what degree.
