Live it.

Someone, or something, sneaked into my head when I wasn't paying attention and stole my memory. I was asked last week for my wife's phone number and I just looked at them with a blank stare. It happens to be the most called number on my phone, but I never enter the digits of the number. Instead I press the phone icon beside her name in my directory. There's no longer a reason to remember the number if I can remember her name. I wish I had an equally impressive reason for forgetting appointments and important dates.

Smart phones are indeed a blessing (or a curse) because of the convenience of mobility and having instant access to anything, anytime. As long as I have and use a smart device, it provides a nexus between my head and my bodily function. But the longer I depend on it, it promotes my ignorance because my memory is only refreshed by recalling what's in my mind. I've found that to also be true in regard to God's word. A lot of people carry it, but not everyone has determined to memorize it and keep it in their mind (Ps 119:11).

Pray it.

Thank You, Lord, for images of Your word that fill and satisfy my mind.
