Today's Scripture: "And you shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle" Ex 26:26

See it.

Left behind

Live it.

One of the good things about being retired is having time to sit down and talk with people. But slow would not be how I'd describe my life since not being on the clock. For example, on Monday I sat down with a friend working in prison ministry. In essence, he rehabs men behind bars and I rehab in men in self-made prisons without walls. We have long-term mutual interests even though we don't talk a lot.

I'd given my friend AKOP and D4 in the past and he asked if I have any new books. I mentioned my end-time novel and explained that it was written to address believers finding their soft lives changed to survive the approaching storm. He's response was classic as he mentioned "Left-Behind" as expectation that believers will not experience any hardship prior to the coming Rapture. I too am a pretribulational, premillenial rapturist, but find it unwise to think serving God in safety and comfort is how God defines his people. Game Over was a good name for a book dealing with the general neglect of believers at the time of His return.

Pray it.

Forgive us, Lord, because after 2,000 years we, the church, are still sleeping when we should be praying.
