Today's Scripture: "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool." Pr. 19:1

See it.

No chance

Live it.

Yesterday was marked by another day of zero debt. Over the course of my life, however, I was ruled by another practice. Along the way, I bought things on credit trusting I would have income to pay each monthly note. In other words, until the price and interest was paid in full, I was in debt for it. At any one time I owed for many things and as long as my income exceeded the accumulative amount, things were good.

Most people are like me in that they expect each month to receive income necessary to live comfortably, pay bills and retire debt. But when things go bad, and installment notes don't get paid on time or at all, items get repossessed or liquidated. Enter financial distress and self-adjusting restriction, a sad state in which I was most familiar. Thankfully, today with limited funds, I have the ability to borrow money but choose to live on a cash basis and not assume on the future. I still have, however, a file folder of my unresolved indebtedness awaiting such time I can make restitution to those my carelessness affected in the past.

Pray it.

Thank You, Jesus, for retiring a debt I could never pay and giving me good standing.
