See it.

Sacred shadows

Live it.

With no one to introduce me yesterday as substitute Sunday school teacher, I did it myself. Apologizing for talking about myself first, I gave my testimony and explained that an intercessor is not going to want the spotlight. They'd rather be invisible, pray behind the scene but in a culture of public corporate prayer find that almost impossible. For that reason, "Webservant" was the email handle that both I and other digital servants have chosen to serve quietly on the Internet.

The Tabernacle veil included the likeness of a Cherubim woven in it as a symbolic separation between a holy God and sinful man. Accessible by one man for everyone else, the High Priest could intercede in the Holy of Holies for the people from behind that veil. As host of this prayer website, for years I hid behind a virtual veil and interceded for people who couldn't see me. But my attempt to remain faceless and nameless was uncovered and publicized on television and newspaper many years ago. Even though most of my fellow church members didn't know who the router of Prayertower information was, it was made public. Since then, I've posted a photo of me on the main page with a short bio about me and what I do. Now that I've told you my secret, would you please forget who I am and join me in praying for those whom God has called us to serve.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for opportunities to serve that don't need a stage.
