See it.

Was it worth it?

Live it.

Everyone faces opposition in one way or another. But a believer has forces against him intent on destroying him. That power is the same one that crucified Jesus, but in doing so unleashed a power far greater than itself—intent on destroying it. It's easy to dismiss this as a battle of the titans that doesn't involve us, but the battle of evil rages within us all. The voices are everywhere. And they cannot be avoided, for in trying to do so, we become a casualty of war. We must face our fears and place our trust in what endures or perish.

This morning I'm made to feel I am a failure having placed all my hopes and desires in Jesus Christ, not in a secure and safe retirement, whatever that means. Without personal wealth, property or anything this world considers success, I am by the standards of this world a loser. Wait a minute. . . Isn't that what the world thought of Jesus? All of a sudden, I don't feel so bad. Because others have their focus on short-termed pleasure doesn't mean I must join them in their misery.

Pray it.

Jesus, You are the source of my contentment, the reason for my joy.
