Today's Scripture: "And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy." Ex 26:33

5798. Peace: what men can only imagine. JG

See it.

Divine division

Live it.

Division seems to define our world today. This morning U.S. President Donald J. Trump is in Israel and watching on television, I can visualize end time prophecies taking shape. It's interesting that the Scripture this morning speaks of the Ark of the Covenant and the holiest area of the Temple. The was intended to keep sin out of God's presence which required keeping everyone but one person out. It's historical that the U.S. President will visit the western wall of the temple mount, something the previous Muslim-favoring president would have found repulsive.

Jerusalem remains a point of contention between Abraham's sons. Almost destroyed by Jordan in 1967, the city is today open to people of all religions where they are safe under Israeli protection. Israel wants peace with everyone, but most Arabs want Jews dead and to possess their land. That being said, there's as much chance for peace between Jews and Arabs as it is for racism to end in America. Daniel's prophecy tells us that one man will be able to make temporary pseudo peace in cooperation with nations, but only Jesus Christ can make peace between adversaries who don't want peace. Standby . . .

Pray it.

Help, only You, Jesus, can do what will keep us from destroying each other.
