Today's Scripture: "Then the Lord said to him, 'Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.'" Acts 7:33

Another day and there's been another low-life display by an American celebrity and attack by terrorists. As the debate continues as to how to stop the killing, it becomes more frustrating to nations ill-equipped to deal with enemies who don't play by the rules of war. They target women and children and use them for shields if needed. The terrorists are not people with whom you can negotiate peace, but vermin you must track, trap and destroy. No civilized nation wants this war because the collateral damage that comes from engagement is only desirable to the terrorist.
All religions exist to promise a rewarding after-life to those who practice its tenets. But it's a stretch to see someone holding a bloody head in their hands as appeasing a holy God. When it comes to religion and terrorism, me thinks their hope is in vain and their plan one filled with holes not holiness.
Your Word is holy, God, exposing everything that's not.
