See it.

Care bare

Live it.

If you aren't familiar with nursing homes and live long enough, you will be. If it's not you needing care, it will be someone in your family who needs your help. In my upcoming book on the subject, I note that nursing facilities charge enormous rates to customers with money in order to provide services for those who do not. On the surface that seems careless, but private facilities must make money to provide services. With little to no vacancy, the death of a resident provides space for a new resident, but room can always be made for the right people. And that's where the rub comes in.

Sometimes residents are asked to leave for self-serving reasons. For example, caring for an Alzheimer's resident requires much more attention than someone who simply needs help living another day. Because of that, nursing homes desire residents requiring less care. What they really want is someone who can pay more for services than a person on governmental assistance. Of course, they will never admit that, but it's basic economics. That should concern you because even if you aren't seeking help for someone else, someone else will most likely seek help for you.

Pray it.

No one cares for me in the ways You do, Jesus.
