Today's Scripture: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt." Acts 7:34

5818. Appearance might get you a job but can surely keep you from one. JG

See it.

Hardly noticed

Live it.

Perform a search on the cosmetic industry and you'll find an industry that's ever expanding. That's to be expected because trying to make yourself presentable can be pricey. Regardless of your look and who you're trying to impress, the wackier the hair, makeup and outfit, the more expensive it can get.

Needing theatrical makeup for a performance, I recently bought what appeared to be a match for my skin. But when applied, it did not look natural. So I went back to the costume store and was sold a blend closer to my skin color. The label on the makeup was curious, however, and I asked the owner why it was called "Tattoo Cover." He responded with a grin, "When a tattooed man wants a real job, he must cover up his nonsense and appear normal or be rejected for "unknown" reasons. Actually that's funny. Tattoos might impress radical Millennials, but when it's time to get real, you put away your childish ways or pay the price.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for not forsaking me while in my childish ways I have forsaken You.
