Today's Scripture: "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again." Jn 10:17

5844. Sacrificial love is like water for a thirsty soul. JG

See it.

Power play

Live it.

For anyone to dispute or rationalize the resurrection of Jesus Christ, they reveal their ignorance. For God to even reveal His redemptive work to man is hard to fathom, but to understand His motivation is beyond comprehension. Made in His image, given life and free will, we are, after all, created and He is the Creator. Yet He works in us to make us good representatives of His loving workmanship, something we don't always do.

Love is the thing that everyone experiences, but no one truly understands. I've seen much in my life but the one thing that peeves me most is using "I love you" or "I'm praying for you" as a habitual parting salutation. Christ showed us that love is what you do, not what you say. Love is not sex, worrying about someone, giving them things, hating their enemies, wishing the best for them or proudly showing photographs of them to others. Love is sacrificial, seldom displayed publicly and has little to no bearing on feelings. Loving someone is treating them like God treats you, basically everything the world thinks is not love.

Pray it.

Thank You, God, for showing me true love and allowing me to love others with Yours.
