Today's Scripture: "The poles shall be put in the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar to bear it." Ex 27:7

5852. No one gets through life without help. JG

See it.

Hands on

Live it.

The first meeting with the person at the top of the rehabilitation center was nothing short of miraculous. Driving past the "Seeking Volunteers" street sign every morning, one day I felt the urge to see how I could help. It's funny now looking back at that Monday that everything worked against me. I couldn't get past the front desk until the manager finally agreed to see me. Then she kept "forgetting" our appointment until months passed and I had to embarrass her to meet with me. When we finally met, I had no agenda, suggestions or work preference. But our time was electric and before the day was over I was teaching spiritual concepts using the Bible as my only curriculum.

For three years now, every man graduating the rehab has sat through four of my one-hour sermons on salvation/discipleship. I continue to serve in that capacity but have been successful in getting one of my Thursday morning prayer warriors to work alongside me. He now counsels the men, instructs them on the computer and teaches relationships from a biblical viewpoint. Only eternity will prove the significance of our service on behalf of those needing it.

Pray it.

Thank you, God, for those who volunteer to help and support me supporting someone else.
