Today's Scripture: "With ungodly mockers at feasts they gnashed at me with their teeth." Ps 35:16
5854. Who in his right mind can blame his hatred on those he hates? JG
Squarely the blame
It seems the news of how to rid your bird feeders of pesky squirrels is out. The rodents are repelled by hot sauce, but the birds are attracted to it. So you know, I own a collection of ineffective noise apparatuses purchased in the past to drive squirrels out of my in-laws' house. If I knew then what I do now, I would have doused every inch of the outside of the house, especially the attic electrical wiring, with pepper sauce. Without that knowledge and after our parents were gone, the house was sold by the bank and the eminent danger of a house fire became someone else's problem.
Understand that I don't blame the squirrels for our differences. After all, they are animals doing what animals do. But not everyone shares my attitude. When I'm driving and a squirrel scampers across the road, I try to avoid it as I would any other animal. But there is often someone else with me in the truck (no names) who would prefer I target him as payback for what some other squirrel did in the past. To borrow a phrase from Rodney King, "Can't we all just be friends?" I'm fairly confident that last statement offended racially biased people. And that statement offended the politically correct police, so I will now stop talking and not risk offending anyone else. As far as I know, my silence has yet to offend anyone.
When it comes to bragging on You, God, not even death can silence me.
