Today's Scripture: "He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good." Pr. 19:8

Feel the burn
Every morning when most people are preparing to go to work, I am sitting at my desk with my Bible open. That's a radical statement from someone who has reached the prime of life and is supposed to do nothing but fade away in the haze of insignificance. But I figure if God finds value in what I do, I don't care what anyone else thinks. Today, meditating on a proverb for the 533rd time, I want to hear from God and see things from His perspective.
Wisdom is seeing things the way God does. We humans naturally see things on the basis of our gained knowledge and life experience which is not like God's perspective. Understanding comes when we see our knowledge and experience through the light of God's word. Wisdom comes when He shows us things that most people can't see. When that happens, the world opens up to new opportunities.
There is no place I'd rather be than in Your word listening to the Holy Spirit.
