Today's Scripture: "Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My preciousĀ lifeĀ from the lions." Ps 35:17

See it.

Prevailing winds

Live it.

The one thing consistent in life is resistance. I'm not speaking of the law of physical resistance as much as the law of spiritual resistance. Regardless who you are, any attempt to do good will be met with opposition, threats and possibly violence. Star War's dark new-age message of the "force" is real in the sense of universal negative energy. But to me, there is a greater challenge and it's my own negative energy that works against me.

Yesterday in the weekly meeting of prayer warriors, I challenged my friends with James 1:2, the verse that confirms God's work in those who wait on Him. Some of us have been working on projects for years and feel time may be running out to see them completed. It's natural in times like that to feel God isn't helping or maybe even working against us. The truth is that God resists the proud and not those who trust Him. A mature believer finds peace in the midst of the storm, not watching from a safe distance. In short, the way we survive is to keep our eyes on the prize, keep trusting His word and let God to fight our battles (Heb. 12:1-2).

Pray it.

Your timing, God, is perfect and Your ways consistent and true.
