Today's Scripture: "And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch." Jn 10:23

See it.

Hold on

Live it.

This morning as I sit writing this, I am in my new office. For years I've made my office/home in the garage but recently created a workspace in the house facing the back yard. It will take time getting used to this as my old office was more of a trophy room. Every square inch of my old office had something significant in it. If I find anything wrong with my new place, it won't be the comfortable temperatures or environment, but the lack of having privacy, peace and quiet—and my "stuff" all around me.

Solomon's porch was a sort of large trophy room too, except Herod put things in there belonging to the pagan nations that Israel had conquered. That tells me that ungodly things were kept there after being dedicated by King Herod. The porch with Solomon's name led to the place of worship for Jehovah God. It was also a place where Jesus could have spent all his time warning the people about ungodly association.

Pray it.

Keep me close to the still waters and my thoughts fixed on You, Lord Jesus.
