Today's Scripture: "Luxury is not fitting for a fool, much less for a servant to rule over princes." Pr. 19:10

5870. Too much too fast yields too little too late. JG

See it.

And did it my way

Live it.

Every now and then, you see a championship diamond ring on auction and realize how fleeting fame and fortune can be. The same thing is true of actors and musicians who, in their prime, purchase lavish artifacts just to later sell them for drug money. It's sad how many people have found success and the money that goes with it, but not knowing what to do, lost it and everything else they own. (So far that temptation has eluded me, but I'm willing to give it a try.)

In the same way, Washington D.C. is a place for the crooked to get rich. Favors and promises are truly like cash to someone needing them. Compare the financial status of most politicians entering and leaving office, (even those preaching socialism), and the math doesn't add up. The only way they can get rich is through questionable private sector association, investment from inside-information, extortion, bribes or the selling of influence. And these are the people trusted to make laws, define integrity and justice while allocating how our tax money is spent. Can you say "fox in the hen house?"

Pray it.

May everything I say and do with things I possess be to further Your kingdom, God.
