Today's Scripture: "A foolish son is the ruin of his father, and the contentions of a wife are a continual dripping." Pr. 19:13

See it.

Live it.

Early on Saturday morning, I sit in my new garden office looking out over the backyard on a beautiful day. Reading the Word and wanting to hear what the Spirit wants me know, things are quiet in the house for now. Because I wanted to listen to some good recorded music, I am wearing my old faithful headset making me impervious to any other sound. Without it covering my ears, even on the lowest volume the beautiful music would not be so beautiful to the rest of the family who are still sleeping.

Not to be confused with ear buds, my headset is a near-total noise canceling device without any music playing. It serves a duel purpose: blocking competing noise and preventing others from hearing what I am hearing. The negative thing about using these devices is the inability to hear anything else. That's a dangerous thing when other people expect you to be readily available for emergency. If no one else was home, I might turn the volume up and shake the house with Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir praise music.

Pray it.

Thank you, God, for speaking through the Word; it's more beautiful than I can describe.
