Today's Scripture: "All the utensils of the tabernacle for all its service, all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze." Ex 27:19

It was an eventful night at Rehab. I arrived early and was intercepted in the hallway by a friendly face. I'd never seen him in the three years I've been serving even though he was wearing an official badge. It turns out he recently surrendered his church pastorate to work with a teen organization before finding this organization that put him face to face with men in trouble. I look forward to working with him because we both are the same metal. We are different but share the same Christ and the similar mission. After spending a few minutes with my new friend, I left to teach another session on Scriptural principles related to life, drugs and regrets.
In class I learned that a young man had been through my sessions a year ago, graduated and had readmitted himself. That was interesting enough, but he then told me his friend had overdosed a year ago—the same day he graduated rehab. I'm still in shock over that, but then the man sitting next to him raised his hand. He asked how I could be so positive in my statements about Genesis, life and God. He smiled and told me that he was an atheist. It had been a wild ride already when I quickly responded, "Don't apologize, you won't be one forever." He laughed and the rest of the session was preaching salvation, half-Gospel and half-apologetics.
I renew my commitment, God, to be Your voice to people who might not hear it otherwise.
